Greetings!
My name is Gonzalo. I’m a Senior Developer, experienced in the Java language. I’m also sort of a technology geek, so I try to keep up to date on many subjects.
I have placed many academic and professional background information on my Linked[In] profile, so I won’t spend more time on it here.
Instead, I’d like to place a brief list of some of my interests (which will give you an idea of what to expect from this Blog)
Java Developing
As you may have inferred from this page’s introduction, I like Java. I consider it an excellent language, and a nice platform indeed. To make long things short, I do this for a living, and I like it.
The Web
In my opinion, this is the future. Of course it’s the present also, but I think there’s much to be developed yet, and I believe this new social boom is a step on the right path.
Linux
I’ve been using Debian GNU/Linux since its first version, and I love it. I used to be a Windows fan, but sometime in the past I saw the light, and it had the shape of a Penguin
Privacy
Last but not least (not at all, truly), this is an issue that worries me a lot. At least in the social groups I participate, there’s a huge lack of knowledge and concern about this issue. Few people know the Internet was designed as a public network, and that many of its protocols are plain, and can be sniffed and seen by anyone who is peeking.
Oh, by the way, my PGP key is not available on Key Servers. Instead, I host it here. I’d really appreciate that you encrypt any mail you’d like to send me. Thank you.
I hope you enjoy reading my Blog.
