I’ve been reading some stuff about Google’s Chrome, their new web browser. Now, the browser looks cool. It is also developed with some really cool features, also.
But the thing that really surprised me the most was the way they decided to publish all of these news: via a comicbook on Google Books. It turned out to be quite didactic. I even showed it to some people who have no clue whatsoever of what a computer is, beyond their email client and web browser of choice, and they understood most of it.
Of course, I cannot hide my frustration when I read it’s only available for Windows so far. Although, after having seen what the EULA states, I doubt I’ll ever install it on any system under my control.

I believe the EULA has changed.
I don’t see myself using Chrome anyway (if it gets released for GNU/Linux). I’m pretty happy using Konqueror for my usual tasks and GNU IceCat for the pages that won’t work with khtml.

Google did change its EULA after all the noise it made.
What I celebrate about this software is that it drives browser development in a new direction. I’m not so sure if I will install it if, as you say, ever gets released for Linux, but Epiphany is already working on a Webkit version and Mozilla is working on speeding up JavaScript on Firefox.
