The embarrassing part

A faulty backup policy of mine, together with a big hardware failure, made impossible for me to publish my PGP policy files on the new hosting, until today. I finally found a backup that worked.

I also noticed that I hadn’t been printing the policy URLs on signatures or certifications since the last time I installed my computer’s OS (which is, I’m both happy and ashamed to say, the day I bought it)

The good news

Anyways, too many errors in this matter, but they’re now fixed for good. The policies are back online, with a more maintainable naming scheme, and some HTTP redirects keep the old URLs working too; my new backup routine should keep the things safe this time; and I’m back to issuing signatures and certifications with their corresponding URLs attached.

I used the opportunity to update both policies, and to create a new encryption subkey since the one I’ve been using is close to expiring.

The files

I’ve decided that versioning these policy files is the way to go, so each signature can point to the version of the policy that was in effect at the time it was made. Without further delay, I give you my latest Certification Policy and Signature Policy.

I apologize for any inconvenience this laziness of mine could’ve caused. It won’t happen again :(
